Duck Ledges Island
Duck Ledges Island, MainePrivate Island Paradise complete with lovely new cottage just constructed in an old grandfathered footprint just a few feet from beaches on either side. The island is located on the ocean's edge of Wohoa Bay near the town of Addison, Maine. The island has great deepwater anchorage on the protected side of the island (North) and a natural deepwater shelf for landing and unloading at almost any tide. The shoreline is mostly pink granite with two beaches on the North end adjacent the cottage. Expansive views from the island allow you to take in the sea, dotted island and Cadillac Mountains. Nearby ledges that are included in the deed and will be conveyed to the Buyer are home to hundreds of seals. The island was also once home to one special seal, an beautiful orphaned seal pup. After being cared for by the island's present owners and animal rescue, the baby seal has now made a home for itself at a nearby refuge. Water for cleaning and washing is gathered by collecting rainwater and there is also an existing, grandfathered outhouse. |
