Anderson Island, British Columbia

Anderson island is situated at the edge of wilderness, secure in a sheltered inner harbour and protected by a rim of islands. Prince Rupert British Columbia is the centre of some of the world’s most remarkable Aboriginal cultures, first class sportfishing and the lush rain forest.

The island has a 575 square foot one bedroom cabin - equipped with a washer, dryer, propane fridge and stove. The water system is a filtered roof catchment system with a 2000 gallon plastic water tank inside outer building. The electrical system operates on a 10 KV Lister genset, 3000 watt inverter and deep cycle battery bank. The workshop (sawmill) is 500 square feet containing a genset and diesel powered saw mill.

Getting Here Is So Easy Road, air, rail and ferry service make getting here easy. Prince Rupert is a transportation hub and the perfect gateway city for trips to northwest BC, the Queen Charlotte Islands, southeast Alaska and Vancouver Island. We are also one day closer to Asia than some other major ports in North America. A new container port will be opening in the new year due to the area's proximity to Asia and its deep natural harbour.

Climate & Weather Prince Rupert benefits from a moderate marine climate. Temperatures in the winter are around freezing while the summer temperatures climb into in the high teens and low 20s Celsius (low to mid 60s Fahrenheit). Rainfall is approximately 250 cm (100 inches) annually.
