"Rainbow Island" is different! It is not one of the densely forested islands. Large lightly tree covered areas with Aspen, Birches, grassy sections and single or in groups standing Spruces and Pines, make it enjoyable to go for strolls along the trails. Rainbow Island is the only private island on pristine Bridge Lake. It is approximately 63 acres (25 ha) with about 5200 feet of prime waterfront. The Bridge Lake is 7 km long and located in the beautiful Interlakes area, 50 km east of 100 Mile House, BC. This region is well known for its recreational beauty, abundance of wildlife, lots of crystal clear lakes and creeks.

There's a rustic, charming cabin on the north shore of the island. It's in good condition and ready to move-in. The cabin is 18x30 ft and has a loft with 3 beds, a porch, a large fire place, a wood/propane cook stove, a propane fridge and running water. Basically, there is no electricity in the cabin, but the generator serves for special needs. A separate small shower house with shower, sink, hot and cold water is right behind the cabin.

Wildlife such as deer, moose, coyotes, beaver and black bears frequently visit Rainbow Island. Bald eagles soar above while Canada geese, ducks and loons nest on the lake.

From Highway 97 approximately 13 km (8 mi.) south of 100 Mile House turn east on Highway 24 this paved road will take you to a multitude of resort and fishing lakes. Bridge Lake is along this scenic, lake dotted route; it is about half way between two other large lakes, Sheridan Lake and Lac des Roches.
