Black's Island, Florida

This tropical looking private island is situated off Port St. Joseph, Florida, and was reportedly named for Captain Black, an English pirate who is said to have once owned the island. The island is treed with over 1000 palm trees. In the 1970s and 1980s it was home to a summer camp for boys. The cottages and docks on the island are in need of repair. Recreational opportunities are numerous, and the snorkelling around the island is particularly good.
