This island is located between Nanaimo and Victoria on crystal clear Lake Cowichan. It's easily accessible from Vancouver Island.
The northerly portion of Brethour has been cleared and cultivated into gardens and pasture. At one time, the area has a six hole golf course.
The island includes a salt water swimming pool, a boathouse and dock with deep moorage, electricity by generator, and a desalination plant.
The island offers three homes, a guest house and a caretaker residence. The island also includes a pool, tennis court and fruit orchard.
Development on Thetis Island is limited. There are two marinas, two convenience stores, a pub, restaurants and a coffee shop.
Mayne Island is located in BC's famous Southern Gulf Islands, named for Lieutenant Richard Charles Mayne of the Survey ship HMS Plumper (1860).
