A beautiful private island located in the protected, picturesque setting of Gorge Harbour. Ring Island is in Gorge Harbour, which is located on the southwest side of Cortes Island, an area known to be sunnier and drier than most areas in the region. There are a number of exceptional choices for building sites as well as good options for locating a dock.
Fully treed, unspoiled and undeveloped, Ring Island offers a unique shoreline with tranquil little bays and unique outcrops. Most of the shoreline has easy beach access with the best locations on the east, south and west sides with always a good feed of oysters at your fingertips.
There are only two privately owned islands in the Gorge: Tan Island and Ring Island. This location provides a variety of benefits, which include exceptional protection from extreme weather conditions and privacy combined with easy access.
Gorge Harbour Marina is situated less than 5 minutes to the west although not in direct view. There you will find a store and fuel sales as well as road access through out Cortes Island.
This also provides transportation options such as scheduled ferry service from Cortes Island to Quadra Island and on through to Campbell River as well as relatively quick access by boat to either Campbell River or Lund - both of which are approximately 12 miles away. Floatplane access is exceptional as well.
The protection of the Gorge almost always provides favourable water conditions.
