The island is very near the mainland, around a 5 minute boat ride and about a 20 minute ride to the city proper where there is an airport. The area has a total of 11 islands, and is well known for island hopping activities.
The unique feature of this island is its long and wide sand bar that gets even larger during low tides. Around the island are number of fish pens, signs that the area is blessed with rich marine resources. The whole island is an almost flat surface. Its highest peak is just about 2 metres above sea level. The beach portion is a hundred metres long facing west. It has powdery white sand and there are 2 nipa huts at the surface.
The island is fully vegetated with fruit trees, coconut trees,and mangroves.
The island features a wide and long sand bar, easy accessibility to the city, a flat surface, rich marine life, beautiful corals and lots of neighbouring islets and islands.
