Horse Island (Massachusetts)

Horse Island is a completely undeveloped private property surrounded by coastal marshland in a quite cove called Briggs Harbor. The island has a rolling landscape with varying heights and is covered with a variety of hardwoods, wild blueberries, and weathered cedars and buffered with a border of granite outcroppings. Completely undeveloped, the property consist of three and three quarter acres with approximately two acres of upland area considered Horse Island.

Briggs Harbor is located at the outer portion of Cohasset Harbor and is part of the township of Scituate with Minot beach and the Glades to its southeast. There are various public boat launch locations in either Scituate or Cohasset in addition to private boat clubs and town moorings where a personal boat can be moored. Access to the island can be accomplished on foot by crossing the mat of lush marshlands or by navigating the clear waters off the peaceful cove during a rising tide.

The island’s setting is very peaceful and tranquil and would be the perfect setting for that private family getaway or your exclusive coastal haven. The sense of remoteness and beauty are what make this property truly one of a kind.
