The Saimaa Lake Islands

This alluring achipelago is situated in Saimaa lake, in the southeast of Finland. The lake is connected to the Baltic Sea and therefore a hub for boating of all sorts. In total, the three islands forming the achipelago consist of over 5 acres of land.

The towns of Lappeenranta, Savonlinna and Mikkeli all offer full services including hospital and airport. All towns are in close range (approx. 38 miles). The achipelago is about 500 meters (1,500 ft.) from the village of Pumäla... easily reachable by car. The present owner visits the island by waterplane or helicopter.

There is a 30 year old log home on the largest (2,25 acres) of the islands, and a 40 year old home on the smaller island (0,75 acres). The 30 year old home features 3 rooms, a toilet, and a little kitchen. The 40 year old home offers two rooms and a toilet. Both houses have a Finnish sauna and a balcony.

The main house on the large island (1,75 acres) is 100 m² (1,100 sq.ft) - a modern built loghome with 4 rooms, a toilet, kitchen and a large sundeck (50 sq.meters or 550 sq.ft.). Also included is a TV, sauna, telephone, 15 V solar power and 3000-W diesel-engine with alternator. The kitchen on the main house and the one on the smallest island are liquefied petroleum gas operated. The toilets and kitchens are serviced from the lake by a water pump with a filtersystem.

Additionally, 5 boats (2 rowing boats, 2 sail boats and a motorboat) belong to the property and are included in the price.

The 1,75 acre island, including the main house, can be sold separately for an amount of €250,000.
