Daksa Island, Croatia

One of the Thousand Islands of the Adriatic Sea, Daksa lies about 500 metres (0.3 miles) off the coast of the historic, walled city of Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Covered by a forest of mostly pines, this crescent-shaped island enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with an average summer sea temperature of about 21°C (70°F). Winters are mild and damp, while summers are hot and dry. Amenities include a 250 sq. metre (2,700 sq. feet) house, a boathouse, dock, and the ruins of an old monastery (60 sq. metres; 650 sq. feet).
