Feature Island

Regional Information

An island in Florida is about as close to the Caribbean you can get without actually being there. Most of the state has a humid subtropical climate with the extreme tip of Florida and the Florida Keys bordering on a true tropical climate. Florida averages 300 days of full sunshine a year. While holidaying in Florida, you may want to fish the waters of the Keys, where fishing legends cut their teeth – Ernest Hemingway was a fan of the giant blue marlin. Hundreds of species of gamefish prowl the crystal, clear waters of the Florida Keys. Florida also provides as many diving opportunities as there are gators in the glades. The geography of Florida offers access to the Gulf Stream, reefs, wrecks, estuaries, bays, inlets and rivers.
