Hi Guys
Not much surfing here, islands block the waves in most directions.
I am a part owner of an island near where I live. We are looking at the best way to develop it at the moment. Considering buying antique wooden houses from Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, they will dismantle them and rebuild in a new location. We feel this is the best way to keep the island natural and respect the locals. _________________ Private Islands for sale

| Props for taking the local people into account! Thailand is fabulous, I've been to Koh Samui a few times and always had a blast. I leave in a large US city and I always think of Thailand as the exact opposite of stressful urban life! |

Agreed- Thailand is heaven, and so cheap to live for awhile, too. I spent a year in Thailand and Malaysia after university and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Kind of like the movie The Beach, without, you know, all the drama and crime

Welcome to the forum! Wow, $130M for a Thai island! Any word on whether there will be a new contender for world's most expensive? _________________ I want to live in Theory....everything works in Theory. |

The island is Koh Rang Yai, set in the bay between Phuket and Krabi, although nearer to Phuket. I still haven't managed to get over to see yet as the rainy season is coming to an end now.
Is it worth US$130m? Who knows, I guess its worth whatever someone is willing to pay

Yes that is a very extravagant price! But Thailand is so beautiful, who knows?
Do these remind anyone else of submerged dinosaurs?
