Colonial town of Granada The town of Granada can be reached by air in about 1hr from the International Airport in Managua (capital of Nicaragua). Granada has a population of 50,000 people and a very relaxed and easy way of life. It has many resataurants, cafes, nice places to stay and is a tourist town. Do not forget to try the local rum Flor De Cana when in town.

The island used to be a cattle farm and the previous owner also used to grow crops such as plantains and corn. He also used to fish with nets or line around the island.

ACTIVITIES The island offers excelent panoramic views of the neighbouring islands, Granada, Volcano Mombacho and the surrounding hills. The future owner can also enjoy fishing for tarpon, snook, rainbow bass, tilapia or simply relaxing under the shade and tranquility of the coconut trees. This property is located in Granada, Nicaragua. According to the Nicaraguan law, a Non-Nicaraguan can acquire property in Nicaragua, like a Nicaraguan citizen. They can also start a company and acquire the property through that company. In addition, for persons interested, it is very easy to become a permanent resident of Nicaragua. It takes approximately one year.

ZONING The area is not subject to any kind of zoning restriction. Properties can be used as private residences, resorts of any kind, or businesses. The local government is supportive of any kind of residential or commercial development.

Can I construct?
Construction labour is really inexpensive and can be done fast and without bureaucracy. The town gives you a construction permit within a couple of days and you are ready to go. CLIMATE
The climate is mild and dry, similar to California. Although the town of Granada may get hot sometimes, the island is always cool and comfortable due to the continuous nice water breeze.
