Impalila Island Lodge, Namibia

Our unique island is situated at the meeting place of two mighty African rivers, the Chobe and Zambezi. Four countries also intersect at our location: Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana. This is the only place in the world where four countries meet. Impalila Island forms the north-eastern tip of Namibia and lies just 70 kilometres west of Victoria Falls. The surrounding area is an amazing mosaic of waterways, flood plains and bushveld, host to exceptional bird life, game viewing and assorted vegetation. The waters hold outstanding fishing opportunities.

Impalila Island Lodge is a 16-bed luxury lodge with much to offer discerning clients. Our island is situated at the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi rivers. From the air, view an amazing mosaic of waterways, floodplains and bushveld. On the ground, see exceptional birds, wildlife and flora. Impalila is also the most secluded and remote of the Chobe destinations but close enough to offer guests the very best of the Chobe river – that is game viewing by boat.

Apart from luxurious accommodation, culinary delights, and a belief that guests should be able to choose how they spend their leisure time, a wide variety of activities are offered.

Unless otherwise specified, all activities are included in our tariffs.

It is our policy that all activities are professionally guided. We have the expertise to cater for special interest visitors like bird waters or fishermen. We have enough boats, vehicles and guides at our lodges that guests can schedule their own activity experience.
