Casitas
At Jicaro ecolodge hotel you stay in your own luxury two storey house, a 'casita', raised up above the ground like a treehouse. The nine casitas on the island all have lake views and are only a short walk from the pool, restaurant, and wellness center. You can relax in the private space of your casita with its views of Lake Nicaragua or join other guests in the communal areas. The casitas and the furniture are made locally from Rainforest Alliance certified wood.
Wellness
Jicaro is the ideal location for people who want to reconnect with themselves and leave their hectic lives behind for a few days.
The wellness center is located right on the lake and offers two spectacular open air treatment rooms with private showers. Massages range from Swedish to Shiatsu to Hot Stone treatments and are available on a daily basis for our guests.
In addition to a variety of massage and wellness treatments, a visitor to the island will be enticed by the fresh and healthy local cuisine, the warmth of the local staff and the authenticity of the overall experience.
Sustainability
Built entirely from timber reclaimed from trees blown down by Hurricane Felix, the buildings and furniture are made of tropical hardwoods which provide a solid and beautiful environment in harmony with the natural setting.
