About Frenchman's Caye

Known as Frenchman's Caye and situated 10 miles ENE of Belize City with St George's Caye situated approximately one and a half miles to the south.

St George's Caye is the Historical capital of Belize where the Battle of St George's Caye took place between the Spaniards and the English. It is now inhabited by the upper echelon of Belize and foreigners alike with two resorts and the British Army Training camp for aquatic exercises.

Minister of Natural Resources, the Honorable John Briceno, in a ceremony, declared the remaining lands on St George's Caye a Natural Reserve therefore no more property available.

This will conceivably drive prices up and create a need for more land in the neighborhood and that is where Frenchman's Caye can come in profitably. Recent survey of Frenchman's Caye revealed that the island comprises 200 acres.

The surrounding waters of Frenchman Caye is clear with sandy sea bed and only one mile away from the barrier reef. The island is in its natural state and will need to be filled.

Typically most islands in Belize, St. George's Caye included, needed filling to bring it to a buildable level. This Island has awesome potential for those with the capital to invest.
