Koro Levu Island, the jewel of Somosomo Strait, is a freehold paradise located on 180 degrees longitude and in the middle of one of Fiji’s best known dive destinations.

It is a tropical volcanic island, oblong in shape with an elevated spine that runs most of its length. There are four pristine sandy beaches on the east side that shelve into beautiful deep blue languid water.

Off the elevated ridge line there is a sloping section of land suitable as a building platform with well-defined cross fall for drainage and glorious views across the Strait to Waiyevo and the volcanic ridge mountains that run the full length of Taveuni.

Dive spots radiate from Koro Levu. Off the Island are some of the largest four metre wide table corals to be seen anywhere and close at hand is Rainbow Reef which is known as the “Soft Coral Capital of the World”.

Koro Levu is situated about 1 kilometre offshore from Waiyevo, the local administration and hospital centre for Taveuni and the trading stores at nearby Somosomo. Taveuni airport is only 8 miles or 12 kilometres away by a sealed bitumen road. There are also three “roll-on-roll-off” jetties around Waiyevo.

Koro Levu would be suitable for a small boutique diving resort; an exclusive all-inclusive destination; or as a unique private or corporate retreat.

The island is zoned “Rural” and the planning scheme for the area allows for tourism and related usage amongst other options. No local government rates are levied on the island. The Fijian Government offers tax concessions and development incentives for tourism.

With the freehold granted in 1907 by Queen Victoria, Koro Levu Island is a premier property and stands out as one of the crown gems of Fiji real estate.
