Layang Layang Island is a comfotable resort containing only 76 rooms and 10 suites. The resort has been constructed in order to convey a sense of unparalleled hospitality and warmth.

Rooms are fully air-conditioned and furnished with the best. Impressive meals include an extensive variety of east meets west cuisine. Each day the resorts chefs create a new and exciting array of dishes.

The resort also has its own onsite massage parlour called Raba-Raba House. Guests are encouraged to indulge in a relaxing body massage and foot reflexology. The resort's expert masseuse will provide you with the most professional service you can find.

Layang Layang Island Resort also offers conferencing and banqueting facilities, which can easily accommodate up to 200 individuals. The conference rooms cater for company seminars, meetings, conferences and incentive group functions.

Diving

Without a doubt, Layang Layang is a top dive resort. The dive operation at Layang Layang is a certified PADI dive centre headed by qualified instructors with vast experience in running professional dive operations. A team of 6 dive masters/instructors who have logged hundreds of dives in Layang Layang are available to assist with the daily scheduled dive trips.

Diving Equipment

The dive centre has 10 catamaran boats that transport divers to the various sites in about 10-30 minutes. Other equipment includes 300 80cu.ft. aluminum tanks, Bauer KAP180 compressors, 20 sets of BCDs and regulators (mix of Scuba Pro & Apollo), lots of fins, masks, booties, weights and belts. All divers must agree to the strict Environmental Conservation Program set-up by the Dive Centre and are required to sign a Reef Conservation Policy prior to diving. PADI dive courses up to Dive master level are conducted.

Diving Sites

With an average visibility of 30 to 50 metres, you can be assured of an amazing scuba diving experience here. The sea floor, right off the edge of the island drops down to 2000 metres. Largely unexplored, much of Layang Layang has never been seen before. The reefs here harbour many new life forms that have yet to be identified.

Layang Layang Island Resort will be closed from September 1 2006, until March 1, 2007 due to the monsoon season.
