Maple Island

The island has a rocky shoreline and is heavily treed. An interesting feature of Maple Island is the presence of fossils. An archipelago of virgin rainforests, sand dunes, great beaches, mountains and lakes, the Queen Charlottes are also home to many unique plant and animal species, as well as being the ancestral homeland of the Haida. To top it all off, it's also one of the best ocean kayaking sites in BC. |
