Michael Gerhardt was in love with islands long before he started his real estate company in 1977. He resides year round on the shores of Georgian Bay, near Parry Sound, in the heart of the 30,000 Islands. Since starting his business, Gerhardt has sold many islands, both exclusive and remote, ranging in size from ½ acre to over 450 acres. As a private pilot, his 4-seater STOL Maule floatplane has been a great help in showing and marketing islands, giving prospective customers a bird's eye view of the area and its island properties. Gerhardt covers the easterly side of Georgian Bay with its 30,000 islands, all the way to the North Channel and Manitoulin Island area, to French River, and east to the Ottawa River.
