Middleton Island
Middleton Island, CaliforniaMiddleton's Island is a little less than one acre, located 60 miles east of San Francisco between Byron and Tracy. It is in San Joaquin County, but only a few feet from Alameda and Contra Costa County. The island is located on the California Delta – lots of palm trees and weeping willows. From Middleton's Island, you can access San Francisco, Napa Wine Country, Sacramento, and Stockton via boat. The island includes a 3 bedroom, 1 ½ bath house with wood burning stove in the 600+ sq. ft. living room looking out over the water (with 12 windows). The island has central heat, air conditioning, and a gas fireplace in the master bedroom. The entire house has 12 foot open beam ceilings and the bedrooms have knotty pine walls. The house sits on 42 pilings and therefore, is way off the ground. Everything under the house is decked and you can walk around the whole area. The area under the living room has a large room with no wall on the waterside. It is all redwood. The decks galore also include 2 BBQs. There is a Tiki Hut (gazebo) at one of the island. There is a large u-shaped dock, covered with a hydro hoist lift for the boat. With all its dockage, the island has previously accommodated up to 17 boats. Access to the island is via a community dock very close to the island. Directly across the river from the island, a golf course is being built. Around this part of California, a typical summer day is 90 degrees with no humidity. The price includes all furniture and decor. |
