Island
of the Month, Leaf Cay - Bahamas
The
Exuma Island chain boasts 365 cays, one for every day of the year.
Approaching by air, the Exumas stretch out over 120 miles; the cays
look
like brightly coloured stepping stones sitting in an emerald sea.
Located only 90 minutes from south Florida, the area abounds with
white sand beaches. Its hidden coves and harbours draw yachts and
sport fishers alike. Leaf Cay is located in the unspoiled Exumas.
The island is fully developed with a 1,500 foot airstrip and 18
buildings. Leaf Cay offers private beaches, surrounded by stunning
water and protected from occasional winds.

Dear
Island Enthusiasts,
Interest in island development has been running high recently.
This month, we're featuring a couple of large development properties
recently put on the market: Coakley and Leaf Cay are up for private
sale in the Bahama's Exumas. The Out Islands have been working
their way 'in' for a while now. Interest in the Exumas is growing
with the opening of the Four Seasons resort on Great Exuma and
increased flights from the United States. Now that US travellers
have realized there's more to the Bahamas than Nassau and Freeport,
the Exumas are the next getaway hotspot. Exuma has thriving reefs,
stunning beaches, safe anchorages and is possibly the most beautiful
yachting venue in the world. Many of the area's islands are uninhabited
or privately owned. Now is your chance to get into the Out Islands.
As always, we welcome your feedback. Please send us an email
