Message from the staff at Private Islands
Online
Dear
Subscribers,
This month, Private
Islands Online is excited to offer little Little Eden Cay for a
unique tender. Located close to the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua,
this 26 acre (10 hectare) coral cay has been transformed into the
ultimate getaway, featuring a most luxurious and beautifully
detailed main residence. Little Eden Cay offers a lot of personal
history; the current owners are a husband and wife team (Martin and
Jenifer... and their four small children). Martin chronicled their
development of the island in his book, "Slice of Heaven" - a must
read for anyone interested in developing their own island. Designers
and artists by trade, the couple's great taste is reflected in the
villa's elegantly appointed decor. They picked up most of their
furnishings while antiquing in Italy. The bidding for Little Eden
Cay closes June 15th and interested parties are invited to view the
island anytime after May 15th. (Please see below for more details).
Emerald Isle in
Malaysia is aptly named for its green waters. Approaching the island
via boat, you catch glimpses of the abundant and colourful sea
creatures in the equally kaleidoscopic coral of this Asian jewel.
Surrounded by a marine conservation park, Emerald Isle plays host to
an ambitious project of turtle conservation that sometimes involves
its guests releasing turtle hatchlings into the ocean...
Speaking of islands
with colourful monikers, Blue Lagoon Island in Fiji is named for the
5,000 acre lagoon which almost completely encircles the island. The
shallow clear water offers protection from extreme tides and
provides the island with calm tranquil waters ideally suited for
water sports. The island has extensive development plans and a
recent feasibility study determined that the island’s lagoon
presents an ideal environment for cultivating black pearls.
Private Islands Online has
expanded its Panama section to reflect the exploding Central
American market. Our site boasts a few new and truly affordable
properties in Panama. Hitherto, the region was largely famous for
its canal (and a certain General), but today Panama is fast becoming
an expat's dream destination. Panama is an ideal destination for
offshore investment, financial privacy and no pesky taxes. Its key
geographic location favours Panama as a hub for tourism, banking,
and business. Real estate values are rising, but Panama still offers
a great return on investment.
