Thomas Island, an incredibly beautiful, serene, easily accessible island is one of the five Murray (Harbour) Islands. It is one of only a few grand-fathered Islands off of Prince Edward Island, Canada that can be developed. As a grand-fathered island, it is nestled between two islands that are protected for their blue heron colonies of birds. Your privacy and peace are assured in this idyllic setting on some of the warmest and calmest waters off the eastern coast of Canada.

Thomas Island comes with its own land base by the top end or tip of the ocean peninsula of Sharams point. This land base is located just off Thomas Islands southern tip. Depending on your needs or desire for more land with ocean shorefront you will have a land base of at least two acres and can acquire as much as 11 acres. Easy access to your island is guaranteed by your own land base or by using the government wharf at Murray Harbour. Thomas Island is a beautifully contoured forested island of thirty acres with sandy beaches. No pesticides are allowed on this island to protect the neighboring bird colonies. Your domestic animals on Thomas Island are prohibited from crossing over to the nesting sites of the bird colonies on the neighboring island at low tide, but personal walks are a treasure. The island is a wonderful place for a family estate to grace its shores into posterity, but cutting excessive trees (clear cutting) on its boundaries is not permitted. This is a nature lovers paradise that must be appreciated by individuals who love the sea, the air and the untroubled waters. Kayaking, swimming, scuba diving, sailing and boating are but some of the activities enjoyed in the summer sun. Dig for clams or fish in the neighboring ocean, river or streams. This is a piece of paradise.
