Kisite Marine Park, Kenya

The Kisite Marinepark sits south of Wasini Island off Shimoni, on the south coast near the Tanzania border. Kisite Marine Park is currently uninhabited. The landscape is thick bush and forest, with tall trees, baobabs, and coconut crabs. Kisite is the best marinepark in Kenya with lots of turtles (nesting too) and dolphins.

The island has already been approved for a hospitality business. The islands are being sold on a leasehold basis, for 99 years with the option to renew. The islands can be owned on a leasehold basis, but the marine park is controlled by the Kenya Wildlife Service.

The Kisite Marine park would be a great investment for a large multinational company committed to setting an example of eco-friendliness. Alternatively, the island would be a great private retreat or a very eco friendly hospitality business.

The small island of Kisite (0.8 ha) is currently visited by over 70,000 snorkellers and divers per year. Very few people visit the larger neighbouring islands.
