Gemia Island, Malaysia

Gemia, one of the rarest privately owned islands in Malaysia, is available for your pleasure. Only seven minutes off the coast of Kuala Terengganu, the island is surrounded by a marine conservation park which serves as a nesting area for rare leatherback turtles.

The island has a number of room types with a variety of price points to meet your budget. The resort includes 40 terrace rooms, 10 detached deluxe rooms and 2 villas. All rooms face the sea and are equipped with air conditioning, TV, and bathroom facilities.

Facilities

Although the island is small and intimate, it has all of the facilities of a large resort are on site. The resort has its own dive shop, restaurant and bar. The restaurant serves Malay Chinese and Continental meals. In addition, there is a private facility room for large groups and conferences.

Activities

Gemia Island Resort offers both traditional and unique activities. Since the island sits in a conservation sanctuary, snorkelling and diving are a must! If fishing is more your thing, try night fishing or squid fishing. If you are looking to stay on land, try participating in one of Gemia’s jungle treks!
