This private island (also known as Chocolate Island) is only 10 minutes by boat to nearby Saltspring Island, one of the principal Gulf Islands, from which ferry connections to Vancouver, Vancouver Island, and Washington State are easily obtained. The island is nicely elevated, providing a great view of neighbouring islands in the Strait of Georgia. Well treed in Arbutus, Douglas Fir, Cedar and Gary Oak, Third Sister Island also boasts protected beaches of white sand.
