Isla Vinorama

Isla Vinorama is located in waters of the Gulf of California, in the coast of the Municipality of Guasave, Sinaloa.

Approximate area of 400 hectares of land, and a further 400 hectares of mangrove.

Mangroves are a natural control system for floods as well as barriers against hurricanes and saline intrusion. They control erosion and protect coasts, improving water quality by functioning as a biological filter. They also contribute to the maintenance of natural processes such as changes in the sea level and sedimentation while serving as a shelter for flora and fauna, among others. They are self-sustainable and have the wonder of wildlife.

Topography: The island is classified as lowland pastures with sand-clayey texture, with salty areas and some sand dunes close to beaches.

Vegetation: Mesquites, grass, macapules and mangroves, among others, predominate in the area.

Climate: It is of steppe type, with extreme temperatures arround 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit) in summer, and 17 degrees Celsius (62.6 Fahrenheit) in winter.

Hydrology: The rainy season begins in July and ends in September. The pluvial precipitation is 480 m.n., per year and also has some fresh water bodies on the surface and the subsoil.

Beaches: The island’s beaches are of shallow depth, with regular waves and fine sand. 

Bays: These sea inlets without waves are used for water sports, breeding species, and guarding vessels.

Fishing: Among many other species there are shrimp, grouper fish, school shark, corvina, oyster, crab, and snail.

Fish farming: Some of the farmed species are oyster, blue shrimp, and tuna.

Infrastructure:

Incorporation of the Existing Marinas to the franchise system in the following Nautical Centers: Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Guaymas-Bahía San Carlos, Mazatlán

Complement existing nautical facilities through investments made by the private sector, for their incorporation into the franchise in the following Nautical Inns and Centers:
-Puerto San Carlos, Puerto Loreto
-Mulegé, Santa Rosalía
-San Felipe , Puerto Peñasco
-Topolobampo

*Acquisition of Territorial Reserves.

Public deeds with extensive property history available, as well as Lien Release Certificate issued by the Public Registry of property of the Municipality of Guasave, Sinaloa and Agrarian Certificate, where it is reported that Isla Vinorama is not included in any agrarian action.
