The largest island is the 90 square mile Isla del Rey with its several towns including the largest town of San Miguel which is just a ten minute boat ride from Platanal Island.
Access to the island is via air and boat with Viveros Island just a 3 minute boat ride away. Here you can find hotels, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course, big houses and a private airport with a 4700-foot airstrip catering to private jets, charter jets and helicopters.
