The point includes 47ha of titled land and an additional 15ha of maritime zone land just off Route 27, the highway that connects San José and the Central Valley to the Pacific Coast, making it the first beach in a straight line from the capital out to the Pacific Coast and making The Point a very interesting development property.

Along a stretch of land that is actually quite flat, The Point sits on a privileged section that offers elevation, creating incredible sunset views over the Gulf of Nicoya, across the Gulf to the peninsula behind it, and along the coast to the South. The hills that comprise The Pointgive 75% of the property ocean views, and create topography for interesting home sites, hotel sites, trails, landscaping, and more.

The property meets the Gulf of Nicoya and Pacific Ocean at two virtually private beaches, with bluffs on either side of the beaches, creating small coves that will in practice be private for The Point.

With an increased demand for homes away from urban centers with work-and-study from home being a reality in today´s world, but most people still needing or wanting the facilities of a larger city, The Point can be a mixed development of homes that offer their owners beach and country living under an hour from San José, and hotel(s) offering proximity to the international airport in the Central Valley. The proposed Orotina airport would position The Point as the closest beach to that airport as well.

An appraisal for well over the asking price was developed by a major bank, and the property also has had detailed plans developed for it, environmental impact studies and subsequent permits for up to 325 hotel rooms and 250 residences. A notable lack of 4-5 start hotel offerings in the area creates a market opportunity for a hotel and/or mixed development.
