The Rania Experience, Maldives

The Rania Experience includes an idyllic all-inclusive private island in the Faafu Atoll. The island 30 minute seaplane ride from Male'International Airport to The Rania Experience. In order to provide exclusivity to its guests, bookings are limited to one private group at a time. The natural beauty of the island and lagoon have been carefully preserved and integrated with tastefully appointed accommodations and facilities to give the entire experience a stylish yet “at home” feel.

Included with your island stay is Rania, a Majesty 86 Gulf craft speed cruiser. Rania was acquired from a sheik in Dubai and has been completely refurbished and outfitted with the most advanced satellite navigational system.

Accommodations at Sea

Onboard Rania, guests are accommodated in luxurious comfort. The yacht features:

  • Two double and two twin bedrooms, handsomely appointed in rich woods and linens
  • En suite baths stocked with Molten Brown amenities
  • Air-conditioning and satellite television in all bedrooms
  • DVD systems in double rooms
  • Indoor and outdoor dining and lounge areas

Accommodations on the Island

During their stay on the island, guests enjoy exclusive use of the pool, spa, entertainment pavilion and beach. Here, every request is facilitated by guests’ personal butler, who can be summoned by mobile phone from anywhere on the island.

The Rania Experience accomodations include three beautiful Beach Villas. In addition, overlooking the pool area, the luxurious, air-conditioned Rania Suite celebrates traditional Maldivian style in its open-air design, thatched roofs and white-cushioned sofa swings. Among its features:

  • King-bedded master bedroom (400 square feet) and two guest bedrooms
  • Open-air bathrooms complete with bath and shower, including a 500-square-foot master bath with remote-controlled Jacuzzi

Dining

Guests dine on the freshest local seafood, Maldivian specialties and international gourmet treats, all prepared by Rania’s skilled private chef and served at their leisure. A choice of settings includes the villa’s romantic pavilion over the water or onboard the yacht.

The Spa

Rania’s spa therapist offers a tempting menu of Thai, Ayurvedic and Swedish spa treatments whenever and wherever the guest may choose – at the island’s Ayur Spa, onboard Rania, on the beach at sunset, or in their room.

Under the skilled hands of the therapist, guests can enjoy a wide array of treatments including scrubs, facials, manicures and pedicures. Try a soothing Jetlag recovery massage after hours on a plane. This full body treatment is designed to regulate your sleep and energy cycles and restore your natural vitality.

Diving

The Maldives is world-renowned as a dive destination, and with as many as 40 dive sites in the Faafu Atoll alone, Rania guests will find endless opportunities to dive. Along with your private PADI-certified dive instructor, enjoy these among other dive sites:

Lighthouse Channel is among the best sites in Faafu, with an enormous variety of fish, from schools of eagle-rays to grey-reef sharks

Lucky Rock, an exceptionally beautiful reef that is home to scorpion fish, stone fish, stingrays, turtles, bat fish and sharks;

Maldives Victory is an intriguing site just off the Airport Island in the North Malé Atoll. The 35,000-ton freighter sank in 1981 after hitting the southern tip of the island at full speed

Fishing

The rich, marine life of the Maldives attracts a spectacular array of big game fish to its waters. Rania guests will find some of the areas best big game fishing in the waters surrounding their won private island. Among the regular catch there are grouper, wahoo, hack fish, barracuda and an occasional huge sailfish.

Island Hopping

Rania guests can enjoy cultural excursions to a number of islands, including the mosques and markets of Malé, Feeali for a glimpse of the traditional Maldivian way of life, and Kashidoo, where a recent excavation has revealed the ruins of an ancient monastic complex. Shopping opportunities include Maldivian vases carved from dhigaa and midhili wood, lacquerware and finely woven kunaa mats.
