Joshua Island
Joshua Island, PhilippinesThe province of Camarines Norte is on the Northern Coast of the Bicol Peninsula, which forms the southeastern section of Luzon, the largest island in the Philippines. It is bounded on the North by the Pacific Ocean, in the east by the San Miguel Bay, in the west by the Lamon Bay and in the south by Quezon province and the adjoining province of Camarines Sur. Joshua Island is found in the northern part of Panganiban town in Camarines Norte. This island is one of the very few ready for occupancy. The 10 hectare island has a managed forest where assorted flora and exotic island birds flourish. Exuding old-fashioned flair, a red brick villa stands at the centre of the island. It boasts 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets and baths. The villa has all modern-day conveniences including air-conditioning solar panels that power the lights and minor appliances. There is also a caretaker's hut connected to the villa. A helipad is also located next to the villa. Electricity to the island is supplied by two 2 generators located a considerable distance from the villa, ensuring a noise-free environment for the occupants. If one is partial to the fruits of the sea, fish pens are made available where one can catch a variety of seafood ranging from tender-fleshed fish to succulent squid. How to get there: Take an eight hour bus ride from Manila to Panganiban town, Camarines Norte, then a scenic 30 minute Tricycle ride to barangay Larap. In Larap, there is a private dock where you board a waiting boat, reaching Joshua Island in less than 15 minutes. Improvements : 6-Room Island Villa Current Zoning : Agricultural |
