Majestic Island, Wisconsin

Just 1 hour from Milwaukee, 2 hours from Chicago, and 4 hours from the Twin Cities lies beautiful Majestic Island. Two acre Majestic Island is situated near the southwest end of Beaver Dam Lake which borders the city of Beaver Dam Wisconsin. This relationship gives you the seclusion of a private island, with the convenience of town just minutes away by boat.

Beaver Dam Lake is the 16th largest lake in Wisconsin and provides excellent summer and winter fishing. Beaver Dam Lake covers 6,600 acres, is 14 miles long, and has over 41 miles of shoreline. Besides fishing, the lake is especially suited for speed boating, sailing, water-skiing, snowmobiling, and hunting. Recreational opportunities abound within an hours drive of Majestic Island. The 32,000 acre Horicon Marsh national wildlife area is 20 minutes away. The marsh is enchanting at any time of the year, with spring and fall being truly spectacular. Hundreds of thousands of migrating waterfowl descend on the marsh, including geese, ducks, swans, cranes and heron. Madison, Wisconsin’s capital city, is only ˝ hour to the southwest and offers a wealth of historic, cultural, shopping, and recreational opportunities. Just 45 minutes to the northwest is the famous Wisconsin Dells recreation Mecca. The “Dells” boasts several waterparks, including the worlds largest park,“Noah’s Ark.” In addition, endless attractions, shopping, and even a full service Casino and hotels make Wisconsin Dells a true Wisconsin destination.

Access to Majestic Island is on your newer 2000 Sylvan Elite 24 foot pontoon boat that comes with the island. The pontoon is docked ˝ mile from the island at the local marina, and its 90 HP 4 stroke outboard can get you, your family, and a load of gear to the island in just a few short minutes. Upon arrival at Majestic island, you will tie up your pontoon boat at the newly installed 32 foot galvanized steel and cedar dock. The dock is a “roll-in” model making it easy to take in and out in the spring and fall. Stepping foot on your private island you will be taken by the large open grassy yard dotted with mature hardwood trees. Kids (and the dog too) will love running free around the island, fishing off the dock, playing on the tire swings and in the sandbox. Horseshoes and volleyball equipment are also at your disposal. Relax in one of the hammocks, in the lounge swing, or on your screened in porch or deck. A huge fire pit provides for great bonfires in the evenings.

No building is needed on Majestic Island as a 2 bedroom cottage is already built! The cottage is equipped with running water via its own well and pump, and electricity via a new 4500 watt electric start generator. The cottage has a bathroom with shower that is serviced by a conventional septic system, and hot water is provided by a propane hot water heater. Also new is the propane operated refrigerator / freezer that allows cooling for several weeks on a single 100lb propane tank and without electricity. A wood burning fireplace and an ample supply of firewood combine to take the chill off those cool spring or fall nights. The 2 bedrooms each contain a full size bed and dressers and one also has a set of bunkbeds to accommodate the whole family and your island guests.

Majestic island also comes complete with everything you need to start enjoying it. All the furniture including beds, dressers, nightstands, lights, lanterns, couch, chairs, coffee tables, dining room table and chairs, and all window treatments stay. A full set of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, toaster, and coffee pot are included. Outdoor furniture including a patio table, chairs and umbrella, swings, hammocks, a grill, and lawn games that all stay. A new riding lawn mower is also included along with an older push mower a weed eater and an array of lawn tools. The roof is brand new on 2004.
