Location
Located 30 minutes by boat from Bocas del Toro, between Isla Popa and Cayo de Agua, near Zapatillas Island. Urraca Private Island welcomes you with open arms and a unique eco-tourism adventure.
Features
Wooden Paths: Connecting the 5 bungalows surrounded by crystal-clear waters.
Water Activities: Guests can swim and snorkel around the island. Snorkeling gear is provided. Two cayucos are available for kayaking and experiencing local transportation methods.
Bio-luminescent Waters: At night, experience the magical view of the bio-luminescent waters.
Marine Life: Safe swimming areas with various fish, coral, and starfish in the crystal-clear waters.
Lounging Areas: Multiple lounging areas for relaxation or sunbathing, including 2 separate docks on the water and a private area on the second floor of the main dining/lounge area with hammocks and great views.
Environment
Eco-Friendly: Solar panels provide all energy needs, benefiting the environment and ecosystem. Electrical equipment should be used sparingly and during the day.
Marine Protection: The islands are protected by coral reef, surrounded by turquoise and bio-luminescent ocean waters.
Dining
All meals and beverages can be provided by request at any time. Francine, the French Canadian owner, built Urraca Private Island with a love for nature. She shares her passion for the environment and the monkeys with visitors, while also giving back to the land and the native Ngobe by providing jobs and including them in her dream of a simple life.
Accommodation and Inclusions
5 Separate Bungalows:
3 bungalows with Queen beds.
1 bungalow with the option of a King bed or two Twin beds. Each bungalow has a private patio on the water with an outside shower.
1 Family bungalow which can sleep up to 6 people. It features two floors with a private dock, private bathroom, and shower on the first floor, and a sleeping area upstairs with an ocean view.
