Welcome to a majestic 6-acre private island estate, located off the coast of Pender Harbour. With wildlife including eagles, seals, deer, otters, world-class fishing and even orcas just feet from the house, this place is paradise. Just a 2.5 hours drive from Vancouver or 30 minutes by float plane, your eyes will feast on 270-degree ocean views.
The island accommodates up to 14 people with 4 bedrooms, 8 beds, and 3 baths. You'll be the only guests on the entire island. It's like being in your own National Geographic documentary, eagles soaring, seals sunbathing by the dock (they're part-time residents), and even some deer swimming over occasionally. If you are lucky, you might also get to catch orcas and humpback whales putting on a show infront of the island (see the photos in the listing!)
Please note, if you are driving to the island, you will need to take a water taxi from the Pender Harbour Municipal Dock (15 minute ride) which can easily be arranged in advance of your arrival.
The house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with the main bedroom upstairs being fit for a king - literally. You'll have a full bathroom, a king bed, and a full view of the ocean from the bathtub or shower.
Outside the main bedroom is a living area that has a pullout couch (double bed) and next to that is a single bed.
The Junior main bedroom on the main floor is just as impressive, with a king bed and bathroom and another breathtaking view of the ocean.
The second and third bedrooms on the main floor each boast a luxurious queen bed that will have you feeling like the monarch of the island. But wait, there's more! The third bedroom also has a cozy loft with two single beds at the top, perfect for a slumber party. And if you have extra guests, there's even an extra single bed and box spring that be setup if required.
There is also a spa just a 20-minute boat ride away. You'll need to arrange for transportation, but it's definitely worth it for a relaxing day at the spa. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing rods, and floating tubes can be arranged for your use during your stay.
Speaking of fishing, guests can also book a fishing charter! You can catch Pacific salmon, lingcod, Dungeness and red rock crab, and BC spot prawns - all right in front of the island. And if fishing's not your thing, other transportation to and from the island can also be arranged as needed (ferry, seaplane, you name it).
There's a full kitchen in the house as well as a BBQ on the patio, so you can grill up any fish you catch during your fishing charter. If you're not up for cooking, a private chef can be arranged to whip up some delicious meals for you (depending on chef availability, of course).
One thing to note - since this is a private island, you'll need to bring your own groceries. There's a grocery store nearby where you can stock up before you take the water taxi over, and there's even a store that sells homemade frozen meals in case you don't feel like cooking.
